Life at Symbiosis Institute of International Business-Vaibhav Shetty

Hey maniacs,It’s been over a month since i’ve joined SIIB and have begun to get the hang of things here.Let me give you a brief idea about my college.Amazing campus.The acad building is of 6 levels with the top 2 being occupied by SIIB while the other 4 are with scmhrd and scit.Girls and seniors have their hostel within the campus while the juniors of all 3 colleges have our hostel 10 minutes jog away.Now that you have a slight idea of the set up here Ill let u know about how a typical day passes at SIIB.

First the tuffest part of the day.Getting up before your roommates to make sure u get your morning chores done on time.Rush down to the mess only to realise that it’s 8.50 am and you have 10 minutes to reach college.If you are lucky enough to catch hold of a friend with a bike u can rush through breakfast and reach on time.Else skip breakfast and rush to college.As soon as you enter the campus scurry off to the nearest available elevator before anyone else does and then run across the corridor just before the door is shut.

While in the class you multitask between attending,daydreaming,dozing off for a few seconds and juggling what the members of your groups are trying to pass on to you(by groups i mean presentation groups.I have 4 till now for 4 different subjects with 4 different set of members.)this goes on till around 1.15 when we have a lunch break.This is the one time of the day i really enjoy.People relax and eat in peace with their friends.The only exceptions are those with presentations who skip this meal to make up time.Then again back to class by 2.15.The lectures end at 6.45 and then we rush to change for our non-acads(yes non-acads.we have compulsory yoga,gym and aerobics 3 times a week).At the end of it you are so tired that you want to go to your room and sleep.But your groups are waiting in the computer lab.Thn you visit your groups one by one on basis of priorities.Finally by 10pm everyone is too tired to stay in college anymore.you drag your feet back to your hostel.Have your dinner and try to spend quality time with your roomies.But then someoen somewhere from soem roup of yours would have a brainstorm or would have identified a problem.You go sit and work with it.Come back to your room you pass by sincere souls studying.Inspired i go back and pick up a book.By the time it’s done i have a glance at the watch.1.55 am.It is now that the day finally ends and the soul willingly go to sleep.
