Freshers V/s Work- Experience Students
coremaniac
Well many a people have this notion that MBAis a degree only for the students who have some amount of work- experience and its not for freshers , but this notion is wrong now- a – days , each institute now prefers students without work – experience too since it wants a mixed bag and a fresh mind .
We will now clear some misconceptions of students regarding work-experience and what type of job should be done prior to entering a B- School if you want your work- experience to be counted as a good work-experience .
First of all work – experience creates an understanding amongst the workers of the work culture and work ethics of an organisation. An individual gets acquainted with the pros and cons of working in an industry and understands how a hierarchy from the top level management to the foreman works. Everything which glitters is not gold. Hence the person who has a work – experience goes through everything. While working an individual should take care that he is not doing a monotonous job but the work is well spread out . The company is not the important , the work profile it offers is something one should look at before getting in that corporation. An individual should remember that the more diverse his profile is, better are his chances to get into a good institute.
Well a lot about people with work-experience , now for the other students who donot have work- ex and constitute nearly 50% of the students in an institute. Well freshers should understand one thing that since they donot have work-ex they should have good academics and a strong will to get into a top notch institute. One important attribute of being a fresher is that he adds a new dimension to the class. He is not biased in taking any view from a professor since he is fresh whereas people with work- ex tend to co-relate everything with their work and hence sometimes tends to be biased.
One thing to remember is that each institute wants a set of freshers and work- experience people. So if you are a fresher donot loose heart and just work hard.
