Is MBA necessary

Well we cannot say that MBA is mandatory but yes it is an important degree and has a lot of value. The choice is with an individual, if he or she wants to remain in the technology sector then they need not persue MBA but enhance their technical skills with further education in technology sector.
People do MBA for many reasons one of themis climbing the corporate ladder faster, other one being the salary which one gets after doing an MBA and the third being that a person wants to continue his family business. MBA definitly provides you an edge with the fact that it is more practical in nature and also sharpens the decission making capability of a person.
No doubt MBA gives you a great salary and has higher avenues as you can enter the administration side of a Company. For people who want to handle their own business there are specialised programmes implemented by institutes for family business.
The decission vests entirely on an individual whether to do an MBA or not , since an individuals interests should drive his career and not the fact that scoe is higher in some particular market.
