In the recently concluded placement week of IIT Kanpur MBA programme, the response from the industry to recruit the MBA graduates has been overwhelming. The entire batch of 46 students was placed within few hours on the first day of the placement week.

PLACEMENT AT IIT-DELHI
Department of Management Studies, IIT Delhi’s ability to produce managers capable of matching and surpassing the best globally, was reaffirmed during Final Placement 2006, where the institute emerged a clear winner. Top notch companies across different sectors offered diverse and challenging job profiles to the passing batch. The average domestic salary offered this year touched an impressive Rs.7.44 Lakhs per annum - a marked growth of 15% over last year’s figures. The average foreign compensation offered stood at $70, 000 per annum. The highest domestic salary offered on campus was Rs. 10 Lakhs per annum while the Median domestic salary for the batch stood at Rs. 7.25 Lakhs per annum.

PLACEMENTS AT ISB - HYDERABAD
The Indian School of Business (ISB) has scripted a new success story with placements touching new highs for the Class of 2006. Four ISB graduates have bagged offers that have broken the USD 200,000 mark. While the highest salary offer recorded at the ISB is USD 233,800 (Rs. 1.04 crore approx.), the average international salary at USD 120,700 (Rs 53.5 lakhs) is a 21% jump over 2005.

PLACEMENTS AT IIM-BANGLORE
The Final Placement Process at IIM Bangalore concluded on Tuesday, the 14th of March, by the end of Slot 2 of the process, with IIMB setting new benchmarks for the Indian MBA graduates. The highest salary offer for foreign placements touched USD $193,000 setting a new record across the IIMs.
